Hi, I’m Valter Backström, a junior developer passionate about data analytics, automation, and cloud technologies. I enjoy turning data into insights and building tools that make work easier and smarter. Here are some examples of how I’ve applied these skills in real projects.

Data Analytics, Automation & Microsoft Fabric

I’m developing skills in modern analytics platforms, especially Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, to turn data into insights and build automated reporting solutions.

Examples:

  • Built Python scripts to automate data collection and transformation
  • Practicing Fabric workflows (data pipelines, lakehouse concepts, semantic models)
  • Learning Power BI data modeling and report automation
  • Designed visual dashboards and KPI tracking reports

Cloud & DevOps (Azure + Fabric)

Experience deploying and maintaining applications in Azure, and learning Microsoft Fabric’s unified analytics environment.

  • Practicing Fabric pipelines, OneLake storage, and automated data flows

Web & App Development

I work with modern tools to build both web and mobile applications.

  • Build a ASP.NET MVC application for metal industry, to get precise information to metalwork jobs. GitHub Link
  • Developed the FindStones .NET MAUI app using camera, maps, and GPS.

I enjoy analyzing issues, finding solutions, and communicating clearly.

  • Solved Django static file problems on Render by restructuring settings.
